Am I suppose to know what to do???

Each day during our "Tummy Time" Hayden and I play and laugh with all sorts of stuff. Yesterday I kept stacking these blocks and then knocking them down, in hopes that he would catch on and do the same... but all I got was the SuperMan swim and a few laughs. I thought it was halarious. Then, he literally just laid his head down and smiled at me before rolling across the room. May sound silly, but I thought it was funny! Just another proof in the pudding, that I'm SO not the boss anymore!

MY First Toof

Can't forget about our "First Tooth" on our trip... we woke up Sunday morning in Texas to discover our little Dude had gotten his first tooth. It literally came in over night, he went to bed Saturday night with clean gums and Sunday morning there it was!!! Although opening his mouth to snap a photo deemed to be a little more challenging... what a sport! Can't you just hear him... "Really Mom?"

And a small stop into Wichita Falls

Although our plans for the week were a little rearranged, we were still able to make it through Wichita Falls to see Lacee and Robert and their Little Cash!!! Aside from our family, I think Lacee has been the most excited that we had a little boy, because she just knew how much I would enjoy one and that we now can hope that H and Cash will grow up to be friends.

As you can tell by the pictures, it's always super casual and quick to get comfy with this group. What we love about the Ernst's is that a year can go by since seeing them and we can pick up right where we left off. We were hoping to spend the night and some time with them, but just for the afternoon we were able to catch up, laugh at Cash entertaining us and ofcourse just stare at Hayden as he napped in my arms. They are what we truly miss about Wichita Falls and were lucky that we get to get back to see them atleast a few times a year.

And in Oklahoma...

My dad was actually still working in North Dakota, so it was just my mom awaiting us. But, we had a blast. We were a little under the weather, but that didn't stop us from enjoying some time with our new toys, Verde- the green sock frog from BGs and a few more fluffy snuggles that my mom had for H. We even snuck into Auntie's to stay for the night, before flying back out from Dallas.

From Texas to Oklahoma...

Go to sleep in Georgia... wake up in Texas! Hayden is such a Super Trooper when it comes to travel. He went to seep at home in Georgia, as our flight left for Dallas left at 11p.m. and we finally pulled into Glenn's parents at 3 a.m., bless his heart he slept almost the entire way. And was pleasantly surprised at all the goodies he woke up to... including the pair of Crocs that tasted as good as they looked.

We spent a few days in Eastland with Glenn's family. Hayden fully enjoyed SuSu and Pop, Uncle Matty showing him around to all the animals, "driving" the Tractor and getting to meet his little cousin Landry. He LOVED the attention. I swear he knew everyone who walked through the door was coming to see him.

Yard Work??? I can help with that!

Digging trenches, burying drainage pipes and picking up limbs... it's a family affair! Hayden is a super trooper when it comes to weekend projects. He LOVES being outside and with the spring weather we are having the four of us bonded in the dirt!

An Eastland Maverick at Heart...

Already wearing daddy's #10!!! Hayden's Pop sent these adorable Eastland Maverick T-shirts (Glenn's HS Alma Mater) and we think he sports them well. Is it too early to be throwing around a football?

Sitt'n Strong...

Again, all my worry for nothing! All it took was pulling out a Christmas gift from SuSu and Pop, the cutest Penguin who we named Pushy... because we have to "push" her to make her move and make silly noises! Hayden loves it! With a little placement of his legs and my cautious hands behind him just in case, we sat and played yesterday afternoon and evening, Hayden sitting up on his own the entire time. We then showed off our new skills for Daddy when he got home! Sitting on the counter is never advised!!! But, as Glenn would say, that's how we roll in our house!

We're Roll'n, Roll'n, Roll'n!!!

I have been so worried over the past few weeks about Hayden not rolling and not sitting up completely on his own, you would have thought I was crazy if you heard me talk about it... but it seems like over night the little bugger has grown wheels and is sitting strong. Maybe he just needed some good 'Home Cook'n'... but Milby sure doesn't know what to think. All he could do was lick his feet and grab his ball to play. At the end of about 3 good rolls Hayden wound up at Milby's toys, which we share readily around here (good ammunity-boosting germ sharing)! Then Milby surely thought Hayden was here to play. I couldn't grab my camera fast enough!

Peas and Sneezes DON'T Mix!!!

These Days it's all about FOOD!!!

We have ventured upon Solid Foods in the past week... apples, peas, sweet potatoes and chicken. Though the first few bites didn't go down so smoothly, we are most certainly getting the hang of it now. What cute faces come out of such an experience!!! And, Hayden so far is approving of my cooking... for now!

Hitting the Six Month Mark!!!

/DSCF0791.JPG"><
After five long months of all we have encountered hitting six months has been a welcomed new experience. Hayden is beginning to sleep through the night and wake up "talking" to his favorite blanket and waiting on me to come get him. As I watch him on the monitor I just smile... morning is our favorite time together. He wakes up with a BIG smile on his face and we get to say Good Morning to all of our favorite things, like Mr. Sunshine, the trees, and ofcourse Milbster.
He loves his "MOGo" (aka the walker/activity center), which he is now beginning to be able to move. He sits up in his chair at the bar and plays with his stackables while I hurrily cook dinner for Glenn and Bath Time has become a family favorite, we all pile in the bathroom a sing "Bubbles" each night.

The Playoffs Were a Blast...

/DSCF0662.JPG">
Winning the Title of NFC South Champs was such a fabulous accomplishment this season. Going that far into the playoffs was truly an experience and we had a blast, especially since we had home-field advantage throughout. But, of course losing to the Packers was devastating and it was all over in the blink of an eye. I was so lucky to have “SuSu” in for the big game. She was able to come in and spend some time with Hayden and I. The game was fun, but you know me… always so nervous and worried about the game, I took ZERO pictures, camera in my bag and all. But, did get some at home.
Though we lost the game our consolation prize was being able to coach in the Pro Bowl in Hawaii. So Hayden had his run of "firsts" in the most luxurious way possible. Here are a few of our favorites!!!
Hayden loved the beach as much as his parents do!!! He loved the sand between his toes, soaking up the sun (under 75 spf of course), the waves and just watching the kids play on the beach! He took the trip like a CHAMP, plane ride and all. We had such a fabulous time. And Hayden got some much needed catch-up time with his daddy!!!
