YUMMY!!!!!

Having some fun with our food... although he's not always enthused at the dinner table, he thoroughly enjoyed his first corn-on-the-cob experience!!! He does LOVE breakfast, he still gets homemade "Smiley" pancakes, but is doing such a good job of using his spoon- to scoop yogurt, blueberries, and anything else in the way!
We've come a long way from our first "cereal" experience!!!

Hoppy Easter!!!

Easter Sunday is always such a special day and as I looked back the night before at pictures of Hayden from last year, his first Easter, I remembered how excited we were that he could "grab" the Easter eggs Aunt Julie hid for him, that he was finally "smiley" and enthusiastic, and that he couldn't have looked more cute in his overalls and yellow Hawaii hat (we had just returned from the Pro Bowl)... then as I went to get him that morning, again I thought, he couldn't be more cute, monkey pjs and all. He was such a fun little bugger, watching him rummage through his Easter basket, open his eggs- funny faces abound- we think animal crackers are always fun to see, and even dumping the grass all over the floor was a laugh. After church and lunch a nap was in order before hunting our Easter eggs- which was a perfect snack. The afternoon was full of fun- chasing our first caterpillar (and smooshing it), digging in the dirt, "bubble-mowing" some grass and helping dad cook out. What a fabulous day!!! And, were Four Months along... feeling great, lil bump and all!

Lions... Tigers... and Monkeys... So Fun!

We took Hayden to the zoo a few weeks ago and had a blast. The weather has been just amazing for this time of year and thought before it got scorching, we would take advantage of the morning. Although H probably had more fun watching all the other kiddos, mostly the pretty little girls, and trying to steal my camera, we had fun scoping out all the animals. I just LOVE the picture of H and I in the kangaroo cut-outs... I did carry the little bugger "pouch-style" for many months!

A Texas-Sized Spring Break

Trips to see our parents has always been such a special time for Glenn and I, but what they say is true, kids truly make everything more special, is so true. There's no doubt that traveling with a toddler is challenging, but I honestly think it's much more enjoyable. And of course the everyday experiences are exponentially more enjoyable. Time at SuSu and Poppy's a.k.a "the farm" as I know H will soon call it, is always fun. But, this time Hayden and Landry were fantastic together. From riding in the "Beep Beep" together, to climbing up and down the slide in the living room, to dancing to the t.v., they were hamming it up each day. The picture of them giving "Eskimo kisses" the last evening we were together I think is just priceless, I truly hope they are always this close!!!
On to BGs and Pop's new house we went, wow to drive only an hour and half to get there was NICE! The pool will take H some getting use to, though Pop was determined to get him in... maybe when it warms up a bit, so will Hayden. Though, Hayden did manage to nearly destroy a golf club on the back patio! And, he learned quickly all the items we would "fetch" off the bottom of the pool. And those Texas sunsets...
