Hayden's first trip to Jacksonville was fabulous!!! Now that he is a little older (than when we went to Hawaii) he's able to "play" a little more. And of course since EVERYTHING goes in our mouth... so did the sand! You would have thought we sat him down on a beach of Puffs (which are like Gold these days) the way he went after the sand. Not sure that his tummy handled it to well the next day, but for the moment he was in Sun-drenched heaven. Bob built the most inventive little umbrella "shade" for H to camp out under and take his afternoon nap... we all got to enjoy it and he slept to the sound of the waves and the breeze.
"Annie and Dr. Bob" were gracious hosts to have our little bugger for four days, he was a little fussy. We tried to tell him there's no crying at the beach...
Maybe it was because we got to eat fabulous grilled shrimp, a little "Surf and Turf", fresh Mahi-Mahi and yummy martinis (Dr. Bob and Glenn are famous for their indulgent Onion Martinis together when we visit) and he had to dine on his ordinary fare! Nonetheless, we all had a wonderful time and are so blessed to have such great friends to spend good times with. We laughed that the next time we're there Hayden would be taking over every floor and sprinting to the beach! Good times had and Great times to come!
