The pool is finally warm enough (though still chilly) for Hayden to take his first dip in the pool!!! And HE LOOOOVVVED IT!!! His new starfish float was perfect and he loved splashing the water, though as you can tell by the pics, he loved leaning forward and mouthing the front of the float. He still as cute as can be...

Hayden Won HIs First Race...
We ran in a 5K Charity run this past Saturday that some good friends of ours held and Hayden WON!!! Well, I placed first in Women, but since H is sitting in the jogger, technically he crossed the finish line first... so, I joked all day that Hayden won!!!
Nonetheless we had fun and he was a SuperTrooper as always. It was part of a Strawberry Festival, so our prize was a basket of strawberries, H has enjoyed them each day for breakfast! So, everyone won!

These Days It's all About...
I'm SUPER at helping mommy at the grocery store...
Is this the jungle? I know peek-a-boo is fun here even if it is just mom's bed!
We're having WHAT for lunch???
Rory is my friend... he even sings and dances, way better than mom!
And Mrs. Laura's bucket by the pool is a new favorite!!!!

End of Day Fun!
Bath-time is fun-time each evening... Glenn is in charge of getting Hayden undressed while I get the bath all ready. So of course their routine is hilarious, packed with smelly diapers to take off, "Touchdown" arm raises to get his tops off (which is why he looks like Egyptian boy here), Santa Claus belly laughs because of Hayden's plump tummy, and dances that I don't think existed before now (anyone heard of "Popping PopCorn"?)
And Hayden's hair is not only getting blonder, but longer as well... he's like our own Shaggy!

Up for a Hike?
Hayden truly loves being outside, thank goodness, and I see many afternoons spent this way in our future! I'M in Heaven!
Hayden's Big Day... and Mine too!
Not only was Sunday my First Mother's Day, but we also had Hayden dedicated at Church. The day was so special. I felt almost like a little kid on Christmas morning waiting for him to wake, some mornings I do wake up before he does and I do love watching his little body in the monitor, but this morning was different... I was eagerly awaiting him rolling over and beginning his morning mantra of "talking", rolling back and forth, playing with his blanket and observing EVERYTHING in his sight. I just honestly couldn't wait to get my hands on him and sing our "good mornings" to the trees and such. And when he did finally wake, I was thoroughly fulfilled, his smiley face makes my morning... every morning.
Not only was he decked out in his new totally styl'n prep-boy outfit, courtesy of his SuSu, but even our preacher was "digg'n" his adorable sandals... we get compliments on all of our shoes, his Auntie Lacee would be impressed. The Smith's joined us for the morning at church, which meant the world to us... Hayden is one lucky boy, as we have such amazing support in our family and friends. It was a very special moment for the three of us and I'm so excited for the strength we will have in our home through God.
In one word... BLESSED!

My First Easter

We had a fabulous first Easter Sunday with Hayden. It was our first day back to Church and Hayden's first morning in a nursery... I was a nervous wreck, but he did FANTASTIC! The ladies laughed when they told us that "he rolled the whole hour!" We were relieved that he didn't cry or stay upset in our absence.
We spent the afternoon at Mike and Julie's with Logan helping H to "hunt" Easter eggs filled with coins and PUFFS! He did a great job picking up each egg, but inserting them directly into his mouth, not the (coolest football easter basket) basket, swimming and enjoyed Mike cooking out.
Julie took some beautiful pictures for us to share!
These Days it's All About...
*Roll'n under the coffee table, I'm convinced that "forts" are the thing to come of this obsession! * Finger foods... we like bananas (when they don't slip out of our hands) and pasta, but LOVE us some puffs! Although some get into our mouth... we really like stuffing them down beside our legs, they just fit so well, along with toys of every sort!
*If I drop it on the ground... Mommy will surely pick it up!!!
*Saying "HI" as we come into any room and "UH-OH" when all those toys hit the ground for us to pick up... well at least that's what we like to think he's saying!!!
*We love being outside too... but he's usually attached to me in some way, so there aren't many pics of that!

A Trip Back to OKC...
My dad was back at home the first of April, so H and I made a trek back to Oklahoma City to see my parents again. It had been a few months since my dad saw Hayden, so he was so excited to have us in. It was certainly different traveling with Hayden by myself but we had a blast visiting BGs and Pops! And the Jumparoo was an even bigger hit now that Hayden could fully enjoy it and the cats were the funnest thing to watch... you could tell Hayden knew they did NOT look like Milbster at home, nor did they sound like him. So he was completely enamored by watching them each day.
Although it wasn't as cold as in North Dakota anymore, but Pops thought the beanie was too cute to not plop on H's head! He also brought back the cutest T-shirt, but the most appropriate for our family these days!!! It read: "Don't let the diaper fool you, I'm the BOSS around here!" How true!!! He rules the roost for sure, but oh how fun it is! How can you resist this face???

LOOK WHO'S TURNING FOUR!!!!
My first baby had his "special" Birthday this week... he turned four on 4/4!!! Hayden and I sang Happy Birthday many times... and Milby said thanks by licking us uncontrollably (kisses come free in our house these days)! But Mr. Milbs is still adjusting to H, he hates when he cries, although we have calmed down on the howling while he cries, and still doesn't quite get what this little things is that rolls around on the floor and takes up his mommy time. I just can't wait til Hayden is up running around, I think Milby will completely enjoy him then, pulling on diapers and chasing balls together in the backyard. And although he has slowed down a bit, he's still the best running partner, the three of us enjoy our daily outings.
